Overview

FlockSuite provides a comprehensive communication toolkit to help churches stay connected with their congregation through multiple channels — email, SMS, push notifications, and in-app announcements.

Email Messaging

Send targeted or bulk emails to your church members directly from the admin dashboard.

Sending Emails

1. Navigate to Communication

   Go to Communication → Messages in the admin sidebar.

2. Compose Your Message

   Write your message with the rich text editor. Add subject line, body content, and select recipients.

3. Select Recipients

   Choose to send to all members, specific groups, departments, cell groups, or individual members.

4. Send or Schedule

   Send immediately or schedule for later delivery. Emails are processed via background jobs for reliability.

Message Templates

Create reusable email templates for common communications like welcome messages, event invitations, donation receipts, and prayer chain notifications.

• Use dynamic placeholders (e.g., {{member_name}}, {{church_name}})
• Edit and manage templates from Communication → Templates
• Templates support HTML formatting for professional-looking emails

SMS Messaging

Reach members directly on their phones with SMS notifications. Ideal for urgent announcements, event reminders, and prayer alerts.

Push Notifications

FlockSuite integrates with OneSignal to deliver real-time push notifications to members' devices.

• Send push notifications to all subscribed users
• Segment notifications by user group or role
• Include rich content with images and action buttons
• Track delivery and engagement metrics

Announcements

Create church-wide announcements that appear in the admin dashboard and can be sent via email or push notification.

• Set announcement title, content, and priority level
• Target specific audiences (all members, leaders, departments)
• Set start and expiry dates for time-sensitive announcements

Church Notices

Post ongoing church notices for information that needs to remain visible over time, such as schedule changes, policies, or recurring reminders.

Celebrations & Birthdays

Automatically track member birthdays and anniversaries. FlockSuite can send automated celebration messages to make your members feel valued.

Notification Templates

The Super Admin can define notification templates that all churches on the platform use for system-generated emails (welcome emails, password resets, donation receipts, etc.).

Templates are managed from Super Admin → Notification Templates and support dynamic variables for personalization.
